I changed the plugs on my 92 and was glad I did. It had the AC rapid fire with the puck on the electrode tip. Only every puck was gone which left a plug gap big enough to drive a mustang thru. Once I got to the number 8 plug I realized why repair shops charge so much for labor. What a B#%*H. It was worth all the blood sweat tears and cursing though smoothed the idle and got the power back.

I learned it is easier to install the plugs in the Sharks from underneath. Too much stuff in the way from the top - and not as much of a knuckle buster
So how long did it take?

It took 3 1/2 hrs. I was surprised because I was able to change the plugs in my 90 in about 45 minutes with not much problem, I did'nt think there would be that much of a change. They did a pretty good job burying 3 of the plugs!!!!

That is why my father wouldn't let me get a Vette! He was a car mechanic & would get a lot of flack because it cost more to tune a Vette that the customers other cars. He didn't like Corvettes. When I found this out 3 years ago I told him, "What does that have to do with me"?????
At least you got to spend some quality time with your car & now it runs better.
Did Chris bring you Margaritas while you said all those kind words?? :p :p :p
Hi Don,
I feel your pain...Changed mine out last season. That #8 is a real *****. That is what prompted me to invest in that Sidewinder ratchet. That and a wobble extension made the job a little easier.

Nah used the same plugs just banged them on a rock a little to close the gap. JUST KIDDING I used Bosch Platinum 2. I Heard reports that the platinum 4 plugs sometime get the spark extinguished when used in high perf. motors at high speads however the plat 2 wont.?????? Figured why take a chance. I put a little never seez on the threads and di-electric in the boot and off I go.
Pete I bought a sidewinder and was only able to use it on one plug, The head of the ratchet is too bulky, it would'nt fit in any of the tight spaces. Maybe I should upgrade my tools?
