View Full Version : taking a look at a '95 coupe

I'm accompanying a friend to check out & test drive a '95 coupe that was at the AC Car Show & didn't sell. It's 1 owner, fairly clean, dark green with tan interior & 84K miles. It seemed to be in decent driver condition. Besides going over the Corvette Buying Checklist & looking for any oil or water pump leaks, is there anything specific we should look for? Any suggestions would be appreciated!
Thanks, Joel

Take along a CD to make sure that all speakers and CD player work. Check to make sure the top (clear) is not cracked or glazed.
Depending on the seats in the car make sure all the functions work. If it has F45 suspension make sure none of the shocks are leaking. If I think of anything else I add it. Bill

Good News! They bought it from the dealer in Lodi, NJ who was at the AC Car Show. Expect another new CCDV member in the near future!!

Was that Angelo by chance you're talking about?

Yep, it's Angelo & Barb Grippo. They are already in the process of getting the '95 all ready for the upcoming Corvette season! A tune up, 2 rear tires, antenna motor rebuild (or replacement), a good cleaning & she's ready to go! Plus maybe some tasteful pin stripes & a new liscense plate for the front bumper or a painted insert. Mid America's stock should be peaking any minute now!

Well, congrats are in order for Angelo & Barb!

Glad to hear it. These two will be a great addition to the Corvette Community AND to CCDV.

Cool people!

Congrats guys! ;bc

Joel have Ang, or Barb read the link above. Also have them check Bryner for a price we get a discount. Another place would be Fred Beans Pontiac in Limerick, Pa. Ask for Gene in the parts dept. They have great prices and low shipping charges.

Tell them to put their CCDV license plate on the nose

Glenn: I agree with the CCDV plate but they like the smooth look of the bumper filler. But thank you all for the suggestions, etc!

OK, so does it come in yellow? Maybe I can get 2? One for the front & 1 for the rear of the Vette. NOT!!! !
You've got to be kidding!! They actually sell these things? I thought it was a joke! Someone please inform me if you know anyone (knucklehead) who buys one of these contraptions so I can personally give them a whippin!!
