I just used the new Z-5 and Z-2. I didn't think that you could improve on something that was a great as Zaino but Sal has done it again!!! After using the Z-5 on a customers car I decided to put a coat of Z-5 on my car. Well, the new shine looks wet and is seems that it is easier to remove.... If you haven't got the new polish I urge you to call Carl and get some. Once again ZAINO RULES!!!!!! PS. 3 coats of Z-5 adds 12 HP!!! :D :D :D :D :D

I have only one complaint about Zaino...it gets that slick I have to have someone help put on the car cover or it will slide off before I can get to the next corner. ;jj ;jj

That's true, I use to take my antenna mast off to put the cover on, it was such a pain, that I cut a hole in the cover so I could slide the cover over the antenna . At least one corner of the cover stayed on the car!!!!!!

Bill, I knew you would like the new polishes, and it's just going to keep getting better. ;)

Bill - Any chance that CCDV could hold a TECH Session for Care Appearance? I'd like to see a Zaino Demonstration ... thought it would be nice to see that done at the Cavalcade.

On a side note ... do you know if we will be going back to WGNAS for Labor Day? I really like the place, even though it is a smaller display.

Hey, what's the new Z2 & Z5???? I have the old stuff and Carl said basically just use the Z2 with the ZFX drops in it and the Z5 is obsolete. ;tt;tt Are there new and improved Zaino's? I also need some more of the detailer stuff.;yn

Mike,

The new Z2 polish is easier to remove and clean out of the bottles when mixed with ZFX. The ZFX replaces the Z1 not the Z5. The Z5 is the swirl remover and should also be mixed with ZFX. Give Carl a call about buying more quick detailer which is the Z6.

Carl never said that :( I said because of the color of your car you should use Z-2 with ZFX, and you do, the Z-5 is better on dark color cars. The Z-2 and Z-5 have been changed, better gloss, deeper shine and even longer lasting, these are just improvements. If you stop drinking the Z-6 it will last longer :p :p Call me I have to be up that way in the next few days..........., are the beers cold. ;)

I have been using Z2 and Z5 with ZFX for sometime now. When did the new improved flavors come out? I bought my last kit about 6 mo. ago...

Pete, the change was about 6-8 weeks ago.

Do you want any Z-6 as well? How many? Let me know and I will give you a call in the morning.

I just finally got around to putting som eof the NEW Z2 with ZFX on my car tonight and I can not believe the difference! Easier on (for sure) just as easy to buff off, BUT the shine is wetter and shinnier (is that really a word?) that you could ever believe! This stuff is incredible. I would have never thought it could be improved but they did it!

And wait until you see the next generation Zaino, it WILL be even better ;) but that will be about a year down the road. It makes that blue jump out at you Glenn, I told you. :)

Carl,
I've got both the Z2 & Z5 with several layers and it seems that they don't stick anymore even after the Z7 (or maybe applied too much, two towels to take it completely off) Swirls seem to be gone. Is the new Z's that much better, and which one is better on the black...I bought the Pinnacle but don't have the b@!!s to use it yet just in case I want to go back to the Z.

Carl, I wanted to tell you that the new stuff is great! I put a coat of Z2 & then a coat of Z5 on last Sunday. ;bc I've noticed, at least I think that Sal intended to do this, is the Z2 mists & drys slightly pink and the Z5 to a lite pale green. If not intended, well tell them not to mess with it. The finish on both is wetter and deeper and with a lighter more noticable haze it's alot easier buffing it off, especially on lighter colors. I hope the next generation they continue to improve their excellent products. ;bt;bt

PS, however, tell them to get a better spray bottle for the Z6 and when are they coming out with a brake dust wheel cleaner?;tt

With all of this talk about Zaino, I had to try it and went and bought some from Carl this past week. Did the dawn wash job last night and am ready to start clay barring. This looks like it might be a 32 beer project till it gets done.

Somewhere way back when I started using Zaino I read that the applicator (I only use the ones Sal sells) should be dampened before applying Z2/ZFX or Z5/ZFX. I use Z6 for this purpose.
Now I can't find that instruction anywhere...is this still valid?

Yea man! I spray a little Z6 on the applicator just to get started. Only the one time when first starting a coat and that's it!

Great Tip about the Z6. Always thought that it should be wetted with something and knew that water wasn't it. (Saw what sweat drops did when mixed with Z :) )

I recently clayed my car a few weeks ago and it wasn't as big a pain in the butt as I thought it would be...only a 3 beer project.

As for the Zaino...I had the vert in full sun today to inspect the finish. After Z7 (last night) and Z6 with a microfiber buff, there was a slight haze that is noticable on BLACK that might not be seen on other finishes :( Z2/ZFXed it tonight, so as to be out of the sun, and I'll finish buffing it out before the show. You can see what I mean. I've been driving Black vehicles now for 20 years and do know that they are "challanging" to say the least. This haze is driving me nuts. See you all at the show!

Dan, it sounds like you're using too much Z-6 if you're getting a haze, also you may try switching to a cotton towel and see if that makes a difference.

I am confused about the "not sticking anymore" thing, I have some customers with hundreds, yes hundreds of coats, as long as you use ZFX and apply no more than 3 coats a day your Zaino should stick to everything it touches. :)

Spent a few nights last week detailing for a parade yesterday.
2 coats of Z2/ZFX and Z6 before and after.
On the way home after the event I decided to stop for fuel. I'm always careful to position the nozzle so I don't get any splash from leftovers, but someone must have left the hose tip-top full and I splashed 93 over my back deck.
Got home dabbed off the residue and hit it with z6. Not a trace of fuel or smear left!

Gas will not remove Zaino (unless you let it sit on the paint for a while) :)
