Ron, I'm glad you made it to the meeting tonight. Here is a link to what I mentioned tonight to help you with your cooling issues. I've never tried it myself but I've heard it works well. You can probably find it locally at PepBoys or a speed shop but at least now you know what to ask for. I also did a quick search and found numerous websites explaining how it works etc. and also one that stated there may be a pH issue with some coolant mixures. You should do more research to see if it was a one time deal. If you decide to try it be sure to leave some feedback in the tech section to help others. See you soon!

HEY JOE THANKS MUCH FOR YOUR RESEARCH. BUT I DON'T KNOW WHAT THE PROPER PH IS SUPOSED TO BE. THE FIRST REVIEW WAS THE SAME AS THE SECOND 50/50 MIX. STRANGE? I GUESS I'LL TRY THE MANUFACTURE TO SEE IF I CAN FIND OUT FROM THEM.

THANKS AGAIN :)

Hey Joe I called the manufacture and spoke to Dave he asured me that the ph of their product is 8.6 and that all antifreezes fall between 7.5 & 11.0. He stated that there is no problem with their

You're welcome Ron! I wanted to make sure I gave you enough info to help yourself and decide which way to go from here since I've never used the product. I'm glad to hear you called the manufacturer to get the facts. Did they say that the pH of the local water has a lot to do with the final mix or do todays coolants neutralize the mix? I recall when I kept an aquarium that the water in this area was close to an 8 (neutral is 7, higher is alkaline, lower is acidic).

Water Wetter works very well. RedLine has some very good products.
Always check before adding certain products to to your cooling system. A few years back I found that another product Minus 20 caused contamination in Aluminum radiators after it was left in the system over a long period of time (winter months of unuse)

Hey guys I just tried water wetter on It's first run I didn't overheat and seemed to stay about 10-15 degrees cooler on highway but only some minor improvment on local roads.still yellow lined on gauge. I'm now thinking about a six bladed fan to go with the rest of improvements (new rad.,new thermostat 160*,new fan clutch & hoses.) wish me luck.

P.S. anyone know a place to get a wiper motor for my 66 at a good price

Ron,
Come to Corvettes Carlisle. I'm sure you'll find a wiper motor there. ;)
