Extended warranty and the dealer

Has anyone used an extended warranty other then GMPP at the dealer for work? What was the response? I am referring to Warranty Direct or 1 Source. GM dealers are always pushing GMPP because they sell it.

I have an aftermarket warranty by American Guardian. Last month for the first time I tried to file a claim and was turned down. The warranty specifically says it covers the Serpentine belt and mine was worn and making all kinds of chatter. I was told that since the belt was replaced before it failed (broke in half) i was not covered.

I had my driver side window replaced. It had a scratch caused (I assume) by either the weatherstrips or something in the door when the window was retracted. They (Bryner) replaced it at no cost & no questions asked. I believe it was covered under the factory warranty.
