Recently had the chance to drive a 2000 FRC with a Kirban shifter. SWEET! I WANT ONE! Any suggestions on where to get one? Ideas on price range? Can a schmoe like me install this, or do I need a professional? Your thoughts would be appreciated.

Exit 28 Motorsports sells them! The Hurst is a great shifter too, worth looking into! I paid $150.00 shipped (on special) from Exit 28 for my Hurst! Ask for RG at exit 28 motorsports. He's pretty cool!

Talk to Bob Rosenberg about the Kirban. He put one in his coupe. I've had one for a couple of years now, and I think they're the best. I'm sure the Hurst is okay too, and sounds like it is a little cheaper now, but, if you have the time and someone to help you try it.

Installed one in my Z06 this winter. It's great. And what a wonderful Christmas present it made. The wife got it at the Vette Shop, one of the advertisers in the Gas Cap.

I have had Kirban, Hurst, Mallett, Ripper and Breatless shifters, I like the Hurst and Kirban the best. :)

I have the Kirban shifter. Bought it from Dennis Kirban. He lives across the street. His warehouse is in Plumsteadville. Many places to buy it though. I have the round billet ball also. Gives a little feel like I had with my M-22 rock crusher in my 66 SS 396 many years ago.

Love the feel and the positive shift. Highly recommend it. I had Sean at Vette Shoppe install it while I waited. Give him a call.

P.S. Anyone have a 66 SS 396 coupe they want to sell?
