PARKING COMMITTEE / Cavalcade

For those who volunteered (or were volunteered by someone else) to serve on the Parking Committee ... thanks! After reviewing a few things with key personnel ... I believe things will flow fairly smoothly!

Ideally, I hope to break down the crews into Saturday Morning, Saturday Afternoon, Sunday Morning, and Sunday Afternoon. Here's what I'd like to ask of the Parking Volunteers ... Please e-mail me (link below my sign-off) with the days and slots that you will be available (and/or you preferences).

I will have radios for communications, and will bring a cooler for our own private stash of beverages (remember to bring your name tag for lunch tickets).

I was very (pleasantly) surprised at the number of volunteers who signed up last night for the parking committee. I actually lost count! Sue has a pretty good list if you need it. Hopefully you will have more than sufficient coverage. Perhaps if you do have extra, Steve Howard at the Gate could be looking for more helpers.
Stay in contact with the Show office if you should need additional troops. It doesn't always help, but members seem to congregate around there during the Show.

---Joel - I promised the Parking Committee workers that they would get double-pay! :D As for the gate ... I plan to have a parking "body" near there ... especially during peak hours. This way ... the guy handling the gate can concentrate on taking $, while the parking guy can direct the cars accordingly. If parking has an abundance ... I will make sure that the gate is taken care of. Thanks for the heads up!
