It's official we're going to host a CCDV Road Rally/Picnic. We have reserved a pavillion at Washington's Crossing Park just south of New Hope,PA for Sunday AUGUST 17, please mark this on your calendar if your interested. The Rally course has been mapped, run and a direction/question booklet has been completed. The Rally will not be based on time, I didn't see it as being a problem, as others did. But to put this issue to bed we will not time it. Details will follow shortly. We need a strong showng for this, much time and effort has already gone into it, if it is a success as it should be, more Rallys will follow.
We've picked a nice course through mostly country roads. You can stop anytime during the rally to sightsee shop or snoop. The Rally will end with a Picnic in Beautiful Washington's Crossing Park. We will supply the resfreshment and food. We have decided to make this a fair weather event with a rain date TBA.
I will be out of the area from July 6th to the 22nd and unable to respond to any emails, if you have any questions or comments email contact Joe Signore CCDV Activities Chairman (aka C5pilot) during this time.
Hope to see you there. Don Terranova

I just wanted to mention a few other details...

There will be prizes for rally participants.

The rally is not mandatory, you may choose to attend just the picnic if you wish.

There will be a small fee to cover the costs, probably something like $10 per person.

You may bring your entire families along if you wish. There are plenty of picnic tables and parking available.

The rally is designed for a driver and a navigator. However, a single driver can easily follow the course without answering the questions along the way.

There is also plenty of open space for ball games or other activities. Feel free to bring sporting equipment, frizbees, kickballs, softballs & bats, bocce, etc.

The rally is on a Sunday with plenty of time to get to church etc beforehand, and we can stay at the park until dusk.

No alcohol permitted in the park.

If you're looking for a count, Pat and I will be there! Sounds pretty cool!

We will definitely need a count but I'll wait until Don Terranova returns this Tuesday. Once we set a price for the picnic we'll ask for a head count and deposit. In case it rains, we'll try to set it up at another location later. If it get's canceled we expect to be able to refund everyones money since the food won't actually be purchased until just before the picnic date.
