View Full Version : Polishing the C6

It's a matter of Zen for Vette owners to wash-wax-polish and we can expect to see a lot of ultra shiny C6's on the road.
But I wonder about the surface UNDER the clear headlight lense. It seems to be the same color as the body. Since the front end would probably get lots of wax, could this result in a visible difference in the color under the lense?
I'd like to find out, one of these days, by owning one!

vettecaster,
I was wondering the same thing. I'll let you know after I take delivery of my C6 hopefully by the end of the month.
Thanks,
Mark

I saw something interesting at the Ocean City, Maryland car show a couple of weeks ago. A C6 was coming down the Boardwalk with it's headlights on and the inside of the plastic headlight lense was fogged. I'm sure it would simply be a matter of hitting it with windex but what the heck, it couldn't have been more than a couple of months old. ?????

I just picked up my C6 this morning. The inside of the headlight covers were fogged slightly. By the time I got home and the temp equalized tehy were clear

Of course it's yellow! I'm starting a petition to change the name of the book to: "ALL CORVETTES ARE YELLOW!" Think I've got a chance?
