View Full Version : Interesting C6 news, Oct 6, 2004
Word from the NCM is that around mid-day, they were contacted by the Corvette assembly plant that production was halted on the C6 due to an unspecified problem with the manual transmissions. There was no word on when the production would start up again except that it would not resume until a new shipment of transmissions arrived, probably Friday 10/8.
UPDATE 10/6/04 9:39pm EST:
It appears that production WILL resume on Thursday 10/7.

The GM Assembly Plant in Bowling Green KY shut down Wednesday Oct 6 becasue of malfunctions with the line. Workers also were told NOT to report to work Thursday.
Even bigger news , there is an unknown (to the general public anyway) problem with the manual transmissions on the C6 and even when the assembly line gets back up and running the MN6 cars will ALL be on hold.
One of those reasons I guess NOT to buy a first year run of a vehicle.
Richy beat ya to it.

No problem, I merged them together. Richy may have been first but Glenn actually used the new C6 forum. ;)
