Numbers to consider.
Roll out time is the time it takes your car to move out of the stage lights (too soon and you redlight)
If your 60' time is 1.6 car roll out is about 0.23 seconds
60' = 1.8 roll out is .26
60' = 2.0 roll out is .30
Delay (car response time) is the time it takes for your car to actually move in response to the throttle or clutch.
Leaving off idle the response time of my car (the time it takes for the pedal to hit the floor and the car to begin to move) is .35 seconds. You can guess at your car's response time. Clutchs work faster than automatics and if you have a high stall speed converter and/or preload the torque converter at the starting line your car will response more quickly.
Plug in the numbers and hone your skills.
Good luck.
