Z06 tick sound after engine runs 1 minute

I would appreciate any advice on this problem. I have a 02 Z06
and after a cold start as it's warming up, approx 1 minute into
warm up a ticking noise begins which seems to come from the
left side of the engine. after warm up it goes away and i dont
hear it. What is this ? can any one help ?

Mine does it too. I think it's just a floppy heat exchanger, which is a small flap that flutuates during warm up on your car. When it's warmed up, it totally closes and it hurts nothing. Everyone with an LS1 or LS6 has this. They just aren't as nosey as us (or they may be deaf).;yn
