Looking good El! How is the ride with the shorter sidewalls?

Looks Great El!
But the Ronals were AWESOME!
Do the shorter sidewalls give you a harder ride?
Haven't driven yet, just bolted em on.
I still have the 35 series up front, but now 30 in the rears..
Doesn't look to be that much thinner, but the ratings at Tire Rack on these new Michlein Pilots PS2 are supreme.
Other guys have told me the ride on these tires even on a 30 series is incredible.
El,have you ordered an extra set of matching wheels for your DRGs?

Nice Wheels!!! I also just had new wheels installed two weeks ago so I guess it looks like I'm not the only one who got struck by the bug.
I am wondering what product your going to use on them to keep up the shine.

They look great El!!!!
Hey Norm. How do you like the 3.90 gears?Worthwhile? Also how's the hand?
Norm:
If you got chrome rims, just use car wash stuff & rinse em off with fresh water & dry them with a 100% cotton or microfibre towel.
Wash the rims LAST & use a separate wash mitt, NOT the one you used on your car, & use a FRESH bucket of water & suds.
Do NOT polish them with ANYTHING.
Do NOT spray them with Windex or Stoners Glass Cleaner or anything else!
Just car wash soap...;yn

My hand is still in a cast till almost the end of August. I had surgery for a cut tendon on the Tuesday before the Cavalcade. I busted it again getting ready for the Cavalcade and they did surgery again the following Tuesday. Recovering from this tendon has been worse than recovering from the surgery for my herniated discs.
I really like Yo-el's wheels. I had my car out to LPE and found out why I dinoed so bad at the Cavalcade. As it turns out, two plug wires were burned against the headers. LPE suck an intercooler on maggie and she is now putting out 456 rwhp. They also tubbed it. I stuck Lingenfelter signature HRE wheels on her. I'm running 275x35x18 zr the front and 345x30x19 zr on the back.
I made a mistake with the 390 rear. It is still breaking loose in first and hopping all over the place in second. I think if I were to do it all over again I would have went with 373's.
The wheels are high polished aluminum and I did not get them clear coated. I think they are going to be a lot of work to keep shinny kind of like an airplane prop.
I still think your 547's looked the best, but these look good too, they are very close to the 547's.
Using a synthetic wax on your chrome will make them easier to clean when they get dirty, Z-6, Windex or Invisible Glass is a quick way to clean chrome wheels, and will not damage them in anyway.
Thanks guys.... I sure do like em too!
Carl.. Those HRE 547's were weak....
Stock sized 17/18 high polished & clear coated outters, with chrome centers, which chipped...
Those were my PERSONAL LEAST favorite! haha......

I know some people will like some will not..
Does not make 1 iota of a difference to me, except when I sell them, I know you won't be interested,, haha!
See ya dude!!

I guess I'm old school. I was taught, when detailing vehicles, to wash the wheels, tires and wells before washing the car. In fact, the only thing we cleaned before the wheels was the engine compartment.
I still practice this procedure today (although I have never actually "detailed" my car since I bought it... I think if I detailed it, I'd be afraid to drive it!). Bill, what order do you detail cars?
I'm not much for detailing.I just take the car in the bathtub with me.

Most times I do the wheels and fender well first. If a customer requests that I remove and clean the wheels and wells I do that last, because after claying or buffing, 5 coats of Zaino, and the interior, I'm ready to sit down and I can do that while working on the wells and wheels. Speaking of wheels my car looks great with my new wheels and tires .. did anyone else besides El and I get new wheels and tires????? :D :D :D

Bob doesn't care about RAIN, he drives that car all the time. Lets see, he drives it when its cloudy, when its raining, when its snowing, in the fog, in the mist, when it floods, in the dark, when its hailing, when its windy, in storms, when it hot or cold out, when he's sleeeeeping, when he's sick, on dates with N.J. Gov. . Well he drives that car just about 24\7. :D :D :D :D :D ;ae ;ae ;bl ;bl ;bt ;bt ;ce ;ce ;hw ;hw ;hw

Rumor that El changes his wheels & tires more frequently than he
changes his socks.
Mercifully this will be the last post on this much abused thread!
Anyone who posts after this should get a life.
